Hello Families!  It's hard to believe that another week of school is in the books.  Here are a few classroom highlights and reminders. 1. In math we are starting to work with fractions this week. Hello Everyone!  It has been a great start to the school year.  1. The past few days we have spent time getting to know each other, learning expectations as well as some problem solving challenges.  In our STEM  block (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathmatics), students are working on the math standard 6.AF.1 which deals with evaluating algebraic expressions. 6th Grade Celebration

On Wednesday, May 30th,  6th graders will be celebrating their last day of school with an awards ceremony and cookout.   Parents are welcome to come celebrate with us beginning at 9:30 with the awards.  We will then be heading outside for students to mingle and sign their alumni t-shirts.  Families can participate up until our lunchtime, at 11:30.  If you wish to volunteer with the cookout or afternoon activities, please let us know.  I will put you in contact with our PFA.  ...
