Good Afternoon 4th grade Families
I want to "THANK" all those parents and students who met with me on Monday for Student/Parent/Teacher Conferences. It was good to have clear communication amongs the 3 of us to make sure everyone is on track for a successful year. Please don't hesitate to text, email, or call me with any concerns or questions or just to talk
Our goal this next quarter is to listen better during lessons and give quality answers that make sense to each question or problem. At home you can work on this as well. Stamina is still a priority, too.
This week we go to Fort Ben Harrison's Golf Course on Tuesday to do some Science experiments and learn a little about the sport of Golf! Our family are golfers. It is a great sport for kids to learn discipline and perseverance. If it thunderstorms on Tuesday, we will not go. If it rains lightly, we will; so , please make sure you dress your child appropriately. I thought wearing our Crestview shirts would be good. There were some students who said they wanted a school lunch and several who wanted to bring their own lunch, so make sure you discuss this with your child. I will send an email and text if we end up cancelling.
I will send home graded papers tomorrow, and there are a few tests on Pearson you will need to look at as well. This week we begin a new book and study fossils in reading. In Math, we take our addition/subtraction test on Pearson and begin basic multiplication facts. We have 2 weeks until Fall Break. I am so proud of the effort made by your children and you this first quarter of 4th grade. Remember to be your child's second teacher at home each evening as you do homework. I still feel that students could be doing better on their homework.
Have a great and blessed week,
